This is the view from our dining area. I hate the way there sofas photographed. They are "well loved" but do not look that bad in real life. They are from raymour and flanigan, and as much as I'd love to toss them when we move, Hubby says NO (lol) so they most likely be in the one of the rooms of our new home (which is required to have a living room and family room, hehe!)
Hidden in the left hand corner, is Diaper Supplies ( will they ever potty train??, and 2 of Ava's favorite toys, her car garage and doll house)
In the right hand corner is a HUGE basket filled with toys that I got at home goods and some other favorites. I can not wait to have a "toy free" living area again.
These couches are HUGE, which I hate and love all at the same time. They are extremely comfy and we all fit well as a family on them.
We have the TV on the wall and the Fireplace/ TV stand is from Home Depot, something I'd love to get rid of and most likely will! And of course pictures of my Lovies!
This is our little hall way to our Kitchen and Stairs. In only a month, I see a baby swing and pack and play taking over this space once again.
All in all I think for having 2 toddlers in a small NYC town house I do a pretty good job of keeping it organized and neat. We did used to have hand me down end tables and a coffee table, but when the kiddos came we did away with them to make more space. I'm really looking forward to seeing others living rooms as I am excited to be able to start fresh and design an Adult Themed Living Area in the next home.
A vote for making it work in a small space?
looks really nice!
ReplyDeleteOur visit apartment was under 800 square feet! We actually raised our son there.
ReplyDeleteYou're home is beautifully decorated. The mix of colors and textures is wonderful.
You've done an amazing job!
I, too, wonder if my son will ever potty train?!?!
ReplyDeleteAnd we just moved into a larger rental home and our living room is (mostly) adult space once again! Yay!
I think you have done a great job with the room---I know about the limited space, we have to stretch our space too being on the train line from NJ! Love your room--looking forward to reading more!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so comfy!
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
We're also currently looking for a new home (hopefully before baby comes)! I remember how stressful it was buying our first house...but I have to say, the 2nd time around isn't any easier. In fact, selling/buying at the same time is a whole new world of stress, lol. GL and hope you find your next 'dream' home soon!
